"I've been told that any smartphone can be connected to a laptop to allow Internet access. The Smartphone serves as a modem and allows connection via the 3G (or 4G) network - no WiFi needed. I plan to try out with my Android phone on Verizon using the EasyTether app. Advantage, if it works, would be able to connect while on the water. Stay tuned." Read more
